How to achieve the Chanel Cruise 2026/27 beauty look

Biarritz – the hazy, hippy, surf town on the Basque Coast – played host to Matthieu Blazy’s first-ever CHANEL Cruise 2026/2027 collection this week.

From sun to sand, it was perfect from all angles. The storied setting, the guests (hello, A$AP Rocky), the clothes and of course, the beauty. Lucia Peroni master-minded an urchin lash – fluffy red and white feathers that floated around the model’s eyes, as if they were suspended in water. The skin was glistening as though still damp (in an ‘I’ve just been swimming’ type of way), while the lips were painted a subtle shade of sun bleached coral (CHANEL Rouge Coco Flash in Sweet, to be precise). Beauty talks incessantly about summer skin, but CHANEL really captured it.

Hair, by Duffy, was natural and nonchalant – worn fluffy and loose or scraped back, like the models had just stepped out of the surf. Some styles included sea-like motifs: crunchy straw hats and barrettes shaped like something you’d find stuck to the side of a rock pool.

And we have to discuss the manicure. Manicurist Ama Quashie compiled multiple multi-coloured sets in varying shades of pastel blue, green, silver, orange, lilac, pearl and baby pink. Like scales on a mermaids tail, they were shimmery but translucent – a rainbow of oceanic colours worn on each individual nail.

Baume Essentiele Multi-Use Glow Stick in Sculpting

This multi-purpose stick can be used all over. To emulate the CHANEL mermaid way, tap it onto the eyelids and tops of the cheekbones.

Rouge Coco Flash

A glossy lipstick that serves up shine and pigment in spades.

Les Beiges Water Fresh Complexion Touch

This water-based tint was used to create a smooth, fresh, hydrated canvas on the runway.
