A new 24-hour gym will open this summer at part of the former Debenhams site in Harrow town centre, with plans expected to bring new jobs and increase footfall in the area.
PureGym will open at 287 Station Road, in the section of the site not occupied by Iceland.
Iceland took over the majority of the former Debenhams unit and opened there in November 2025. The new gym will now use the remaining part of the site. The site sits close to the new Harrow Mall, which recently opened at the former New Look unit.
A PureGym spokesperson said: “We are thrilled to be expanding our presence in London with the opening of PureGym London Harrow this summer. The gym will offer members 24/7 access to state-of-the-art equipment and a wide range of instructor-led classes, all within our flexible, affordable memberships.
The unit is next door to the new Iceland supermarket
“The brand-new gym will be a brilliant addition to Harrow and the wider Northwest London area, driving footfall to the high street and creating nine new jobs in the local health and fitness sector. We’re excited to be making fitness more accessible for people across London, helping them to achieve their fitness goals and feel ‘PureGym good’.
On its website, PureGym says: “On the search for a 24/7 gym? Give your fitness and finances a helping hand at our great-value gym in London Harrow. Our gym in Harrow is packed with the latest kit, including free weights, fixed resistance machines and cardio equipment, to help you smash your fitness goals. Plus our memberships are contract free, and we have classes included in our memberships!
“We’re located on Station Road, nearby Specsavers and Iceland. Parking is available nearby on Greenhill way, first hour free!”
