BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — Nurses are often the steady presence patients and families rely on during some of life’s most difficult moments. This week, Boca Raton Regional Hospital is making sure those caregivers feel that same level of support.

As part of Nurses Week, the hospital is hosting a day focused on wellness, appreciation, and self-care, giving nurses a chance to step away from their demanding roles and recharge.

The event includes activities designed to help nurses relax and feel recognized, from makeovers and wellness services to quiet moments of reflection. It’s all part of a broader effort to highlight the impact nurses have, not just on patient outcomes, but on comfort, confidence, and healing.

Both said the work nurses do goes far beyond medical care. It’s about being present, offering reassurance, and supporting families through uncertain moments.

Hospital leaders say that’s exactly why events like this matter.
