Kylie Jenner suffers unfortunate beauty issue after bold Met Gala look

Kylie Jenner had some difficulty dyeing her eyebrows back to their usual color after bleaching them for the Met Gala.

The 28-year-old reality star walked the red carpet Monday in a nude bodice, featuring nipple-baring details, and a cream satin skirt by Schiaparelli. She opted for a nude lipstick and light pink blush, paired with her barely-there blonde eyebrows.

In a video posted on her Instagram Story after the Gala, Jenner documented her makeup team “trying to dye [her] brows back,” which turned out to be no small feat. She revealed that one of her eyebrows was successfully dyed brown, while the other was still bleached.

“My brows are ruined,” she said, while laughing with her makeup team. “What is this? What the f*** is this?

“This looks horrible,” she added, while zooming in on her two eyebrows that were drastically different colors.

Before the event, which marked Jenner’s ninth time attending the Met Gala, she posted a close-up of her makeup on her Instagram Story, writing: “I don’t have any brows wish me luck.”

During an interview with Vogue, Jenner’s hairstylist, Iggy Rosales, discussed the inspiration behind the makeup mogul’s Schiaparelli outfit. “The dress feels like it’s slipping away. It becomes this living sculpture,” he said.

He noted that her makeup had to be an extension of her dress, so he worked with celebrity makeup artist Ariel Tejada to find the right look. “We even tested no brows just to see how far we could push it,” Rosales added.

Monday’s annual star-studded fundraiser for the museum’s Costume Institute was inspired by “Costume Art,” the Met’s blockbuster Spring exhibition, which explores depictions of the dressed body through a series of thematic body types: “the naked body,” “classic body,” “pregnant body” and “ageing body.” Guests were instructed to “celebrate the countless depictions of the dressed body throughout art history” on the red carpet.

Many celebrities hit the mark with this year’s theme, including Beyoncé, who stole the show in a custom diamante skeleton-style bustier dress by Olivier Rousteing, complete with a sweeping feathered train and a crystal headpiece. Kim Kardashian channeled an armour-inspired outfit with a burnt orange breastplate featuring pointed breasts, while Madonna arrived in a witchy ensemble that came with seven “ladies-in-waiting” joining her. The singer’s look was inspired by Leonora Carrington’s 1945 painting, “The Temptation of St Anthony Fragment II”, which features a crowned woman with long black hair surrounded by women holding a sheer cape around her.
