Inspired by Mestizo Louisiana Mexican Cuisine in Baton Rouge, this zero proof cocktail layers heat, citrus and subtle sweetness. Make it your own by swapping out tea for your favorite blend.

Serves 1

This vibrant, layered drink combines citrus, gentle heat and a touch of sweetness. It’s a flexible recipe – swap in your favorite tea or adjust the spice level to fit your taste.

Ingredients

1½ ounces zero-proof tequila

2 tablespoons Eat Fit Simple Syrup

½ ounce passionfruit tea, chilled

1 thin slice fresh jalapeño

Edible flower or cucumber slice, for garnish

Directions
Add the first 7 ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously, then strain into a glass. Top with sparkling water. Give a light stir and garnish as desired.
