SALEM, Ohio – A company paid nearly $2 million for the East State Street building that houses Planet Fitness.
The company, 2340 E State ST Salem LLC of Canton, paid $1.19 million for the structure at 2340 E. State St., according to Columbiana County Auditor’s Office records. The sale posted Wednesday. Salem Realty Associates LLC was the seller.
Records show the building was constructed in 1973. Before Planet Fitness moved into the city, True Value Hardware occupied the space. That store closed in September 2024.
