Even more construction walls have appeared around Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Paris Resort. The news comes after the European Disney park began a refurbishment project on the bridge to the Disneyland Park icon in early May. Here’s what Disney Parks fans need to know.

In early May, construction walls surrounded the bridge to Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park (Paris). Disneyland Paris Resort later installed printed scrim on the construction walls to improve their appearance, particularly in vacation photos.

This week, though, more barren plywood construction walls appeared at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. On May 18, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DLPReport shared this photo of the current state of the refurbishment on the bridge to Sleeping Beauty Castle:

The European Disney Park guest also shared a photo of a curb in the Central Plaza area that Disney cast members recently flattened. Disneyland Paris Resort likely made this change to accommodate the modified route of Disney Stars on Parade during the refurbishment of the Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge.

🔧 Recent works on this side of Central Plaza have led to the flattening and reworking of this curb. This is to accommodate Disney Stars in Parade which now squeezes into this little corridor while the Sleeping Beauty Castle refurbishment is ongoing:

Another X user, @PixiedustDLP, shared this video showing the flattened curb and the new white construction walls connected to the old ones covered in themed scrim:

🚧 🏰 Starting today, there are even more construction walls around Sleeping Beauty Castle. As a result, the parade route will also have to be adjusted. That is probably why the walkway at the entrance to Discoveryland was recently lowered.

Despite its less-than-glamorous appearance, Sleeping Beauty Castle remains accessible to Disneyland Park guests via various entrances. Disneyland Paris Resort has confirmed that the castle walkthrough and La Tanière du Dragon (The Lair of the Dragon) attractions will remain open throughout the bridge refurbishment, which is currently scheduled to end in late September 2026.
