Alex Rodriguez and Jaclyn Cordeiro have officially split after more than three years of dating. The ex-couple, who made their relationship Instagram official back in December 2022, are “taking some time apart,” Cordeiro confirmed to TMZ.
“To clarify, Alex and I are currently taking some time apart but there continues to be mutual love, care, and deep respect between us and for our families,” she told the outlet. “We remain supportive of one another, and there is absolutely no animosity, drama, or negative story here.”

The 46 year old went on, “I’m also navigating a serious health matter involving a family member at this time, so my focus is understandably there. Alex and I continue to be very close, and out of respect for everyone involved especially our daughters and loved ones I’d kindly ask that any reporting reflects the compassion and privacy this situation deserves.”

Rodriguez and Cordeiro were initially spotted together in October 2022. After their Instagram debut, they stepped out together for the first time in public at an NBA game in January 2023. The retired baseball star and the fitness instructor initially bonded over their shared love of the gym.
“She may be as strict about her own regimen as he is,” a source told People back in December 2022. “Alex and Jaclyn are both fitness-obsessed and into exercise and bodybuilding.”

Rodriguez and Cordeiro were also both parents prior to their meet-cute. A-Rod shares two daughters, Natasha and Ella, with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis; Cordeiro, for her part, shares two daughters named Bella and Savanah with her ex Laureano Cordeiro. The couple even spent the holidays together with Rodriguez’s kids in 2022.
“From our hearts to yours, Merry Christmas,” the athlete wrote on Instagram at the time. Rodriguez has not yet commented publicly on the break-up.
