The La Valencia Hotel is turning 100 years old this year, and along with a regular staple of wellness-focused events, the Pink Lady is also planning a range of anniversary celebrations.
If you’re unfamiliar with it, the La Valencia is a legendary hotel that was founded in 1926 in the heart of downtown La Jolla. Over the years, the Spanish-style apartment hotel has played host to a variety of actors, artists, socialites, and even Former President Jimmy Carter.
Along with providing a stunning venue for vacations, weddings, and all sorts of social events, the La Valencia also regularly hosts community wellness classes. For example:
Friday Flow Yoga: An ocean-view yoga class in La Valencia’s garden led by beloved instructors from nearby yoga studio Trilogy Sanctuary. Sound Healing Saturdays: A restorative sound healing experience by La Valencia’s pool deck, promising ocean air, soothing vibrations, and a meditative atmosphere. Soulful Sunday Meditation & Guided Stretch: Start off your week with a grounding meditation and guided stretch. This class includes a slow, restorative practice for a grounding Sunday.
For its 100-year anniversary, the Pink Lady is also planning a host of celebratory soirees.
Throughout 2026, the La Valencia will host the 1926 Social Club, a celebration of the glamorous Roaring Twenties that birthed the hotel. Scheduled for every Thursday evening, the event promises an evening of live jazz, 1920s-inspired cocktails, and spirited conversation.
Whether you’re a local or a visitor, the La Valencia is the perfect backdrop for your La Jolla trip, local San Diego staycation, or relaxing weekend. For more information, visit the hotel’s website.
