Forge launches summer wellness series for breast cancer survivors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center is launching a six-week virtual Summer Wellness Series designed to help breast cancer survivors focus on their health and wellness from home.

The self-paced program begins June 15 and includes weekly yoga and educational videos, along with summer-inspired recipes delivered by email.

Forge says the goal is to help survivors stay connected and supported throughout their journey.

“Breast cancer, hearing those words can be really scary,” said Claire Gray, the communications coordinator for Forge. “It can be really isolating, but Forge was created so that you don’t have to do it alone.”

In addition to wellness programs, Forge offers services including counseling, mentor programs, transportation assistance and financial support for some patients.
