Sound frequency app helps user improve sleep, track wellness through biometric data
Michael Minihan has turned to sound frequencies through the Soaak app to improve his sleep and overall wellness.
“I put my earphones in at night, I set my phone on the side of the bedside table, and I play the natural sounds,” Minihan said.
Getting a good night’s sleep is crucial for Minihan, but it hasn’t always been easy.
“I’ve tried all the things, you know, the traditional methods of when you stop using social media and your screens, how you set the light, how you set the temperature,” Minihan said.
Now, every night, Minihan opens the Soaak app, chooses a frequency, and wakes up feeling refreshed.
“I just asked if it had noticed anything, and it said, well, actually, about 25 days ago, your sleep really started getting better. You got more of it. And the sleep that you did get was of higher quality. And that time stamp corresponded exactly to when I started using the sleep app,” Minihan said.
The app can connect to devices like a Whoop band, Oura ring, or Apple Watch to measure biometrics and show if the frequency is working.
“We can actually measure your biometrics first, and you can see how you sleep, how your performance is looking, heart rate variability, sleep, etc.,” said Henry Penix, CEO of Soaak Technologies.
If a device like an Apple Watch detects a high heart rate, that information is sent to the Soaak app, which recommends ways to help.
“Come back, give you a suggestion on what to use for what your body needs, and then after you use it, we can come full circle and measure it again so you can see the change,” Penix said.
The app isn’t just for sleep. It can also help with anxiety, depression, or even provide a boost of energy.
“We put together frequencies, from 5 to 25, that form a sound frequency composition that is tailored for a specific outcome,” Penix said.
Each frequency serves a different purpose, and you can personalize them.
“You can choose out of the 31, or we have an automated AI model that will come in and measure your biometrics. You can even answer a short survey to pinpoint more of what you need,” Penix said.
The app is free to try but requires monthly subscriptions based on individual needs.
