The Oregon Garden will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a week of events, running from Sunday, June 28, through Friday, July 3.

This milestone celebrates 25 years of botanical beauty, community stewardship, and environmental education with six days of themed activities, special guest appearances, and family-friendly entertainment.

The festivities launch on Sunday, June 28, with the Legacy in Bloom Celebration Dinner, a special evening dedicated to honoring the past, present, and future commitment to the garden’s mission.

Week-Long Event Features Family Fun for All Ages:

Monday, June 29 – History Day: Highlights include a cultural blessing from the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, guided walking tours, story time with Atlas Bookshop, and a historical showcase in the J. Frank Schmidt Jr. Pavilion celebrating The Oregon Garden’s legacy.

Tuesday, June 30 – Education & Ecology Day: Enjoy a free kids’ workshop with author Ashley Erdely (Pacific Northwest Wildflowers for Kids) and forest tours hosted by the Oregon Forest Resources Institute. This family‑friendly day offers interactive exhibits, guided tours, and hands-on learning in one of Oregon’s most inspiring outdoor classrooms – The Oregon Garden.

Wednesday, July 1 – Community Day: Free admission for Silverton residents, an outdoor yoga class by the Silverton YMCA, and a local food drive benefiting Silverton Area Community Aid (SACA) and Sheltering Silverton. Donate non‑perishable food items for a $1 off Garden admission. The day concludes with an evening presentation and book signing by nationally bestselling author Eileen Garvin (The Music of Bees). Thursday, July 2 – Family Day: A whimsical day packed with tethered hot-air balloon rides, a visit from Caesar the No Drama Llama, Tank encounter with Una the Mermaid, plus family-friendly aerial activities by Salem Oregon Circus Center. Join us for a day of fun for all ages

Friday, July 3 – Fireworks Celebration: The anniversary week concludes with one of the garden’s most beloved traditions, featuring live music, food vendors, and a spectacular fireworks display.
