A new workout studio is coming to Lakeview this fall when ALIGNÉ Studios opens in a new building at 300 Allen Toussaint Blvd.
Northshore native Abbi Boudreaux plans to offer mat Pilates as well sculpt and yoga classes for all fitness levels. But the biggest draw may be the Lagree classes, a high-intensity, low-impact workout on a Megaformer machine, which is like a larger version of the Reformer machine used in traditional Pilates classes.
With just eight machines, Lagree classes will be more intimate and allow for personalized guidance. Other group classes will hold around 15 guests, to keep a boutique feel with the same attention from instructors.
With an athletic background in cheerleading, gymnastics and cross country to now a certified personal trainer, Lagree instructor and Pilates instructor, Boudreaux is passionate about helping others feel strong and healthy.
“My hope is that ALIGNÉ becomes more than just a fitness studio…it becomes a place where people build confidence, connect with others and enjoy showing up for themselves,” Boudreaux said.
The studio gets its name from the French word “aligné,” meaning “aligned.”
“To me, it represents so much more than physical alignment,” Boudreaux said. “It’s about helping people feel aligned in their bodies, minds and everyday lives through movement.”
