Seven people were injured Thursday morning following a chlorine leak at the LA Fitness in North Brunswick, authorities said.
Four of the injured were brought to an area hospital, North Brunswick Police Deputy Chief Brian Hoiberg said.
The leak, which occurred around 7 a.m., has been contained.
People are asked to stay away from the Brunswick Shopping Center on Milltown Road until at least 11 a.m., police said shortly before 10 a.m.
Emergency personnel continue to work at the scene.
