I wanted to let you know that someone close to me, someone that I work closely with has come down with the Covid-19 virus and we are all hoping that this colleague of ours is going to recover but so far I’m not showing any symptoms and I hope it stays this way. But I wanted to share with you what I do to boost my immune system during this time. Now that the Canadian government has decided that they are going to start deconfining a lot of people and that the risk of contamination is going to increase slightly, what can we do to make sure that we protect ourselves and others? One of the things that I do is use this essential oil and it’s called Ravintsara. So the way to use it, you can put a few drops on your wrists, rub them together rub into your hands, bring close to your nose and breath deep into your lungs.. as so and you can do that once a day for 3 weeks, take a break one week and start up again for another 3 weeks.
This is going to boost your immune system, this particular essential oil is a powerful anti-viral and anti-bacterial essential oil and it helps boost your immune system so I completely recommend it. Another thing that is very practical to do is to put it inside your mask. If you don’t want to put one drop inside here, you can always after you rub your hands together, just rub the inside of your mask and put it on then you’ll be extra protected. This mask, I got from this company called SHAN and they make bathing suits so now that they are following in the foot’s steps of GUCCI and making protective gear.
And another thing that I do to make my system stronger is I like to make a tea with ginger with lemons. Now I wanted to show you how I extract the juice from my lemons and my ginger roots. I use this juicer, it’s from Omega. You can go on their website it’s omegajuicers.com, you’ll find recipes there that will help you boost your immune system as well. This machine is good because the RPMs on here are just 30 and this is what we need because if the speed of your juicer is too high, you will destroy the minerals and also the enzymes and we don’t want that when we are juicing our fruits and veggies, so this I keep maximum nutrients from what I’m extracting.
So I’m going to show you how I go about it, I turn it on, and I put my lemons and I wanted to mention that I keep the peel on my lemons because it has a lot of nutrients that are also good for your immune system. Aside from the vitamin C that we all know that it has, it has flavonoids and the flavonoids are strong antioxidants and this is the stuff we need to make ourselves stronger, it has anti-inflammatory properties as well.
The ginger roots are rich in vitamin C a powerful antioxidant as well and it’s anti-microbial and this is why I mix the ginger root together with the lemons keeping the peel on. I make sure I wash them before I start so here I go. So once I’m done extracting this, I already have my boiled water ready so I just combine everything together and I have a powerful concoction right here to make sure that I stay strong during these times. So it’s pretty simple and very effective. I recommend you do the best you can to keep your immune system strong. Other things we can do like exercising is very good and getting enough sleep.
