The Smarty Paws Five in One Senior Wellness supplements were great for my brothers two dogs. One of his dogs is a 15 year old beagle mix who in his old age has been dealing with various skin, mobility, and digestion issues.
His ailments have been bad enough where hes gotten two surgeries to remove a skin tumor and a cancer in his mouth, but those two issues aside, hes been in excellent health.
Hes slower at everything, but still getting around without too much pain. The vet recommended him taking glucosamine and chondroitin supplements, and other brands have worked generally well at keeping Eagle Beagle on the move.
The SmartyPaws supplement worked a bit better than other supplements weve used as it gives him a dose of probiotics, EPA & DHA, as well as other various supplements to keep him healthy.
The recommended daily dose is 2 chews a day, but I found that a single chew works well for my brothers dog.There is no wheat, meat products, eggs, tree nuts allergens, dairy, or synthetic colors or flavoring in these chews, but there is brewers yeast, which Im not so sure is that great for dogs.
In terms of flavor, my brothers dog eats these without complaint, and again the benefits outweigh the cons of these treats – my bros dog is still taking his daily walk, has all his teeth, and is looking pretty good for a dog thats almost 16 years old.
Overall, if youre looking for a good supplement for your aging pup, this is a good one to consider.
Cooper – Labradoodle puppy, absolutely loves these puppy supplements! He thinks they are treats, but we have to remind ourselves to not give him too many.

My vet recommended that I get supplements my dogs joints since she is apparently prone to joint issues (Maltese mix).
I didn’t want to buy the $80 bag that my vets office was selling so I decided I shop around online.My friend recommended me this brand and I looove the human version so I decided I’d give it a try!I haven’t been using it for too long yet but so far, Pepper hasn’t been limping (which she sometimes does when she plays too hard) and she LOOVES the vitamins!
She’s a very picky eater so it’s hard to find treats that she’ll actually eat. Definitely a bonus that I don’t have to smother this in peanut butter or anything 🙂
My Great Dane can be snotty when it comes to treats but he LOVES these. He has learned that he gets more than one and will patiently wait if he hasn’t gotten all of his Smarty Paws!
This seems like a great product that provides multi-function support for joint, skin, allergy, immune system and gut health. I believe our dogs need some health support just as we ourselves do.
These chews are heart-shaped, slightly smaller than a quarter but 5/16″ thick. The daily amount for my pooch is one chew but I can easily break it into two halves and reward her accordingly.
She seems to really like it. It must be the flavor since peanut butter is one of her favorites. Good stuff. Ill probably get more.
