Kale is a 4 season crop packed full of nutrition and vitamins. Beans have protein. While green beans carry less protein, your shelling beans carry more and are great for drying and storing. They are both really easy to grow and I highly recommend them for your gardens. I show you how to plant bean seeds and discuss kale transplants.
Kale is nutrient-dense providing a lot in a leaf and stem (varies based on variety):
Vitamin A
Vitamin B1, B2, B3 B6
Vitamin C
Vitamin K
Calcium
Copper
Iron
Potassium
Magnesium
Manganese
Phosphorous
Potassium
Antioxidants.
Protein in beans varies based on the variety and a half of cup of several varieties can supply 15% of the recommend daily value (DV). Search keywords ‘Protein in Beans’ for a list of what you might grow.
