We suspected that vitamin D would play an important role, as multiple papers were written about the correlation of vitamin D and COVID-19. (And many more published on the role of vitamin D on immunity!)
Consider this, 95% of adults are not getting the vitamin D they require on a daily basis. (Not to mention, a number of other important nutrients that are immune-supportive.) Even those taking supplements are still falling short.
Where does that leave most of the population?
Vulnerable.
We can use extrinsic means to protect ourselves; masks, physical distancing, hand sanitizing, and the like.
But, until we address immunity intrinsically, all the above is a futile effort.
I would like to conclude this newsletter with two words…
Don’t wait.
The beautiful thing about functional nutrition, is that there is very little risk in implementing interventions early.
