Hello everyone how’s it going welcome back to the channel so take a look at this chart this is my vitamin D serum level in my blood and I have been measuring my vitamin D since the year 2017 so back in 2017 this is September 3rd of 2017 my vitamin D serum level was
Only 13 nog per ml so I was severely deficient in vitamin D and at that time I was feeling miserable I used to feel very tired I was exhausted all the time even when I got a nice 8 hours of sleep I would get up in the morning and I
Would feel exhausted my energy levels were down and I was also feeling depressed and my mental health was not good about a month before this so about August of 2017 I had my annual Health checkup and my doctor ran all the normal tests so your glucose triglycerides cholesterol you know the usual stuff
They measure in your annual Health checkup and the results came out all good so my doctor was like Hey you are in good shape you you are in good health all your numbers look good everything is good go home and you know come back next
Year but then I told my doctor that I don’t feel good I feel very tired I’m always exhausted and if I try to work out it takes a really long time for me to recover even simple things like doing leisurely paced swimming lap swimming that exhausts me so something is wrong
Can you help me so that’s when my doctor said okay fine let’s run some extra tests and one of the tests that my doctor ran was this vitamin D test so my number came out really low 30 nog per ml now I want to show the levels that are
Expected what is the ideal vitamin D serum level in your blood and the problem here is that different agencies have different recommendations and many doctors here in United States they follow older guidelines so they may give you uh some advice based on your vitamin D result which may not be correct advice
So take a look at the recommendation from various agencies so the National Academy of Medicine it says that anything above 20 nog per ml that’s good enough so if you are below 20 then you have a problem so obviously I was 13 which means I was uh you know deficient
But if you look at recommendation from other agencies like for example the endocrine Society they say that you should be 30 nog per ml not 20 so if 30 is what the Baseline is then 13 is really bad this means that I’m severely deficient so according to endocrine
Society I was in bad shape but if you take a look at What vitamin D council is saying then this becomes a red flag because according to vitamin D Council you should be 40 nog per ml to 80 nog per ML and so according to their guideline I am severely deficient 13 is
Really bad and this makes sense because because if my vitamin D levels are so low they would explain why I’m feeling tired why I’m feeling exhausted all the time and why my mental health was also bad so anyway I was glad that my doctor gave me a vitamin D test the results
Came and uh we were able to identify the problem but that didn’t mean that my problems got fixed so here is what happened my doctor said okay you are at 13 and my doctor was actually going with the National Academy of medicines recommendation so he said you should be
Around 20 and since you are 13 we want to raise your levels so why don’t you start taking 1,000 IUS of vitamin D so supplementation basically so he said okay get something like this now guys don’t pay attention to the brand that I am holding here this is just the vitamin
That I found in my local pharmacy so I’m not trying to sell you anything don’t worry about the brand my doctor said get vitamin D uh supplements so this one is 5,000 international units but my doctor at that time said take 1,000 international units every day and that
Will fix your vitamin D issues so so I started taking 1,000 iOS of Vitamin D supplements take a look at what happened so July 15th 2018 I was still below 20 I was at 19 and I was still feeling like crap at this point of time I did not
Feel any better so my doctor looked at this and he said oh well now you’re coming close to 20 so you are making progress just keep taking th000 IUS and you will get better but I did not get better between this you know interval I felt exhausted my legs would hurt if I
Went for a jogging or when I was swimming my entire body would ache and I was not feeling good at all so right around this time I decided to get a second opinion so I went to a different doctor the second doctor was now following the endocrine society’s
Recommendation so my doctor said that yeah 2019 is not good you should be at least 30 nog per milliliter so my doctor said take 2,000 I of vitamin D every day 2,000 international units of vitamin D supplementation every day and let’s take your levels to 30 so I did that so from
July 15th to Feb 7 2019 I was at 25 I was still below 30 nog per Mill according to endocrine society’s guidelines I was a still deficient this is almost 2 years now I started from you know 2017 now we are in Feb of 2019 I am
Still deficient and I’m still really not feeling any better I felt like crab here I felt like crab Here and Now 25 nog per Mill I’m still still feeling bad so this was not going anywhere so then luckily for me my insurance you know I changed
My insurance and as a result I had to change my doctor so I went to a different doctor and uh this new doctor looked at my numbers and this doctor was no longer following the guidelines from either these guys National Academy of Medicine or the endocrine Society my new
Doctor was following guidelines from vitamin D Council and he said that your levels are still very low you should be between 40 and 80 and for your age so I am in my mid-40s he said that you should Target about 65 nog per ML and that came
As a shock to me because all my previous doctors had said that try to be around you know 30 so this guy was saying 65 n per ml that is the ideal healthy range so this doctor told me take 10,000 IUS of vitamin D3 supplementation 10,000 international units of vitamin D3 every
Day so I started taking 10,000 I of vitamin D3 and now I actually saw increase in my vitamin D serum level so from FB 7 to May 27 2020 so this is less than 6 months in less than 6 months I was able to almost double my levels so I
Went to 47 nog per ML and I started feeling better now I was actually feeling more energized when I got up in the morning I had more energy and I kind of started feeling like I was getting back in shape but at this point I kind
Of screwed up so what ended up happening was was I started looking for more information because of my previous experiences with my past doctors who had given me wrong information right my first doctor said National Academy of Medicine and he gave me a recommendation of 20 nanog per Mill the second guy said
30 nanog per Mill is what you should Target so now I was like you know what I need to go and find out what is the right number I need to do my own research in doing my own research I stumbled across this term called hypercalcemia now hypercalcemia is basically vitamin D
Toxicity so the problem for me was if you look back at the vitamin D pick any vitamin D supplement whatever you have in your home and look at behind what they are saying so they say that the maximum that you should take in a day
The safe uh you know dosage is 4,000 IUS of vitamin D 4,000 international units per day that is the safe level so anything above that is not safe so I was taking 10,000 international units at this point point of time when I was 47 and so I looked at what these guys were
Saying and they said 4,000 international units is safe anything above that is not safe so I got scared and I stopped taking 10,000 international units I dropped it to 5,000 international units I thought that okay 5,000 should be safe this particular vitamin D supplementation it was 5,000 international units I was taking two
Pills so I felt like maybe I should just take one pill you know I don’t want to get hypercalcemia I don’t want to get kidney stones and so all these scary things that I had read online I was really scared so I dropped my dosage to
5,000 IUS and my vitamin D serum level tanked it went to 34 nog per ml so then 2021 I have another Health checkup and my numbers come out 34 and I again was not feeling good so my doctor asked me are you taking 10,000 international
Units of vitamin D like the way I told you and I said no I’m not I said I’m taking 5,000 international units so my doctor was like why why are you not taking 10,000 inter units and I said I’m worried about kidney stones I’m worried about hcal IIA so that’s when my doctor
Explained few things to me and one of the things my doctor explained was that the amount of vitamin D a particular person needs to take the supplementation that depends on whole bunch of things so when these guys say that 4,000 is the safe limit and do not take more than
4,000 that is not true for all that may be true for some people but it’s not one size fits all so if you are a person of dark skin color for example somebody like me then you can go out in the sun you can spend a lot of time in the Sun
And you may not be able to synthesize as much vitamin D as someone who is lighter skin colored also if you are old or if you are obese or if you have some kind of autoimmune disorder some kind of autoimmune condition which is causing inflammation in your body then your
Vitamin D synthesis and your vitamin D absorption it’s going to tank and in fact this is precisely what was happening with my case so I had an autoimmune condition called Hashimoto that affects my thyroid and so this particular condition was one of the main reasons why my vitamin D levels were so
Low in the beginning here so back in 2017 to 2019 my levels were so low because I had Hashimoto and even when I started taking 10,000 I of vitamin D3 supplementation I was still sitting at 47 which is actually if you look at the recommendation here vitamin D console
Says 40280 so I was closer to 40 than to 80 which means I was still on the low side so my doctor told me that you have this particular condition and you need to take high dosage of vitamin D3 supplementation because your body is not absorbing the vitamin D3 and she also
Told me that in addition to vitamin D3 I need to be taking few other supplements to help my body absorb vitamin D3 so the first thing that my doctor told was to take vitamin K2 this is vitamin K2 in the form of mk7 again don’t pay attention to the Brand This is the
Walgreens brand because I that’s the closest pharmacy you know near my house so I got it from there don’t worry about the brand you can get whatever brand you know you can find in your Pharmacy but vitamin K2 is important you need to take that with vitamin D3 if you take both
These together you are able to absorb it better and in addition you also need magnesium so I take about 400 mg of magnesium so if you take these three guys together every day then you will be able to absorb vitamin D3 better and so that’s what I started doing from this point
Onward so this is October of 2001 here and I’m taking 10,000 iOS of vitamin D3 so two pills of this and I’m taking 400 mg of uh you know magnesium and I’m taking K2 this is 100 m CG per serving so I take one one of this and from there
You can see my levels went up and so now July 8 2022 I am 67 and then last year I’m 66 so basically I’m now I am holding steady this is above 65 and if you look at the recommendation here I’m exactly in the smack in the middle of 40 and 80
So I’m right there in the perfect goldilock zone so finally I have been able to get my vitamin D levels to where they need to be and it happened because I take all these three supplements so I did more research on this and this is what I found so the first thing is
10,000 IUS works for me I’m not saying 10,000 IU will work for you we all are different our bodies absorb vitamin D3 in different ways you may be old you may be young you may have some autoimmune condition or maybe you don’t have any autoimmune condition you may have dark
Skin color or maybe you are Caucasian and you have white skin color so all these things will affect how your body absorbs vitamin D3 once size does not fit all so do not go by their recommendation that 4,000 international units is the maximum safe limit that is
Not true how much you need you need to actually talk to your doctor and figure that out so this fixed all my health problems my chronic fatigue I used to feel tired I fell down I had kind of like mild depression all those things went away and like I said I am taking
100 MCG of vitamin K2 so this is the vitamin K2 in the form of mk7 and this is actually something which I found out later but this is very crucial so vitamin K2 ensures that the absorbed calcium is directed to your bones and your teeth well what it means is that if
You’re taking high dosage of vitamin D3 then you may have calcium deposition in your soft tissues so your internal organs or your veins arteries your vascular system they may start having calcium deposits and that can cause all kinds of problems including kidney failures and it can cause kidney stone
So those are the things that sometimes you read on the internet where people say don’t take too many vitamin D3 supplements because you can have these problems so these problems can happen if you are taking high dosage of vitamin D3 and if you are deficient in vitamin K2
So if you take 100 MCG of vitamin K2 then that will fix the problem because vitamin K2 will ensure that your vitamin D3 is going to uh you know help in calcium absorption in your bones and your teeth which is what you want you want strong bones and teeth right you
Don’t want Cal depositing in your arteries and finally magnesium so 250 mg of magnesium and you can buy magnesium in various forms what I have found is that magnesium glycinate is the best form because this your body is able to absorb it better so in your Pharmacy you will see various magnesium supplements
Glycinate is the one that is the best because you are able to absorb it the most magnesium oxide actually is the worst because uh you just pass it out most of your magnesium oxide that you take will just you will just pass it out in the morning you are not going to
Absorb it so look for magnesium glycinate and if you’re wondering why you need magnesium so the main reason is that magnesium helps to circulate and activate vitamin D so if you’re taking vitamin magnesium and vitamin D this will help with the absorption of vitamin D and it will also help with the
Circulation of vitamin D because vitamin D serum level is in your blood and you want it to circulate and reach every corner of your body remember that many cells in our body including our immune system even the cells in our brain they all have vitamin D receptor so they
Respond to vitamin D so if you take magnesium it’s going to help vitamin spread all over your body it will make it available to every corner every tissue every cell in your body will have access to vitamin D now if you want to learn more about all this if you want to
Learn exactly how these things help you and what exactly I did to fix my vitamin D levels and you know bring it up to a healthy and how I started feeling better so what I have done is I created a video series where I have documented everything and I talk in detail about
All the things that I have learned in the last 6 years I have been struggling with this problem for a very long time so I have learned a lot and I have put all my knowledge everything that I have learned by researching Myself by reading a published papers peer reviewed medical
Journals that I could find and also talking to various doctors right multiple doctors that I have you know worked with in the last 6 years I have Consolidated all that information and I have created this series of videos so you can check them out here
This is the web page that I have created and uh there is lot of information here I have actually 42 lessons there and these lessons include videos I have research paper in PDF format and I’ve also got some interesting quizzes and self-improvement challenges so guys I
Took a long time to create this and I think this is going to be very useful for any B who is suffering from chronic fatigue if you feel tired and exhausted if you have Hashim motos or any kind of thyroid issu so I talk about that I have
A special module just for thyroid vitamin D and thyroid levels so I talk about all that so if you want to learn about all this check out this video series the first video is freely available the rest of the stuff I have put behind payall because YouTube is not
Very happy with these medical videos they tend to sometimes uh censor these videos and create problems so I had to put it on a different platform platform and that’s the reason why everything is not freely available I’m sorry I you know YouTube doesn’t let me do this so
You can check out this page and if you think this is going to help you then I encourage that you go sign up for this and by the way I also wrote a book about this so this is the secrets of WID currently in Third Edition if you are
Interested you can also get this and I will link everything in the video description below so you can check these out now I want to make one thing clear guys I am not a doctor right I don’t want to mislead anyone I’m not a doctor I’m actually an engineer I’m an
Electrical engineer I have my expertise in electronics and computer science but I am the guy who likes to do a lot of research I really like to read research papers learn everything about uh whatever interests me and for the last few years I have really been interested
In my health because of my chronic fatigue and because I was feeling so bad so I have been doing really well thorough research reading uh papers that were published in peer reviewed research journals and so this is the sum total of everything that I have learned and and
That is what I have put it you know in this ebook so you can check out this ebook or you can go check out my video series because that is basically everything that I have learned in the last 6 years I’ve put all that in those video series also if you have any
