Dr Petter Brodin is the Garfield Weston Chair and Professor of Paediatric Immunology at Imperial College London and holds a concurrent professorship at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. Combining clinical practice at Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital, Karolinska University Hospital, with pioneering research, Dr Brodin leads two international research teams that employ cutting-edge experimental and computational methods to understand immune system variations, particularly in children. His innovative work aims to enhance precision medicine through comprehensive immunological profiling, contributing significantly to our understanding of immune dysregulation and recovery in Long COVID and other post-viral syndromes.
Dr Binita Kane, consultant respiratory physician, specialises in post-viral syndromes, including Long COVID, and actively advocates for greater healthcare access and support for chronic illness patients. She continues to provide invaluable education and patient empowerment through her work at The Long COVID Clinic and this Fireside Chat series.
