What nutritional deficiencies should I be worried about? Sudden heightened smell sensitivity. Sometimes it can make you feel nauseous. You see this a lot in pregnant women. This is a copper deficiency which could come from taking too much zinc over a long period of time or just not consuming enough copper from your diet. One of the best sources of copper is shellfish, especially oysters. Your teeth chip easily. This might seem like a calcium deficiency, but it’s really a vitamin K2 deficiency because it’s the vitamin K2 that makes the bones and your teeth super strong and keeps the calcium out of your arteries. One of the best sources of vitamin K2 is aged cheese and grass-fed liver. The front part of your lower legs, the shins itch at night. Kind of feels like this crawling sensation on your lower leg, which you never really see in the summer, only in the winter. This is a classic vitamin D deficiency.
