TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Strong by Nutrition is a health food store focused on making ordinary meals extraordinary.
Co-owner Tatiana Holt started the business after having a breakfast shake with her mom.
“When I had it, I have the best feeling ever. I actually feel so much energy, which I really like it, and I felt pretty full. So, I was like satisfied, but all the day I just feel great,” Holt said.
Holt and her brother Aldin Alacron introduced the concept to the Magic Valley in 2017. Since then, they’ve expanded both the store’s menu and product line.
“We offer meal replacement shakes, healthy, clean energy drinks. Also, we serve a free meal snack like waffles, fit waffles, protein bowl, fit cheesecake, and protein bites… we’re serving 20 supplements, protein shake, collagen, aloe vera, herbal tea, and sport nutrition,” Alacron said.
The siblings have been passionate about fueling people’s bodies with nutrition.
“We actually nourish our body, and when our body feels good and have the right vitamins, the right macros, the right micronutrients, our body starts to feel strong. So, that’s why we think that’s 80% of how we feel is by nutrition,” Holt said.
Holt said there has been a stigma around healthy foods. Her goal is to change that.
“We try to make our products or items or shakes or food as delicious as possible. Because fortunately, we have all different kinds of flavors from our supplements that we can simulate what they can do but it’s not actually, it’s never going to be the same,” she said.
Holt said she and her brother encourage customers to come in with their own ideas.
“I want a snickers shake, it’s not that we actually add snickers. We just like try to make something similar with our products and still try to taste delicious,” she said.
Strong by Nutrition is located on Blue Lakes in Lynnwood Shopping Center.
