“Double The Fun, Double The Demise” – A boat arrives asking the tribe to divide themselves into pairs. This week’s immunity challenge features one of the biggest twists ever seen in Survivor history. Then, a theatrical risk taken at tribal council must be enough to cast doubt upon those on the chopping block, on SURVIVOR 50 Photo: Robert Voets/CBS ©2025 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. Survivor 50 has been one of the wildest seasons in the show’s history when it comes to new twists. One way to stay safe amid the chaos has been winning immunity challenges, and there’s one Survivor 50 player who is head and shoulders better than the rest.

Joe Hunter emerged as an immunity challenge beast during Survivor 48 when he won four individual immunity challenges. He had a chance, with two challenges to go, to break the record for individual immunity wins in a season, but he came up short.

Joe won’t be setting the individual immunity record on Survivor 50, but he is, without a doubt, the biggest challenge beast in the new era of Survivor.

Through two seasons, Joe has seven individual immunity wins with four on Survivor 48, a season with some incredible challenge threats, and three wins on Survivor 50, although Tiffany Ervin won with Joe during the dual immunity challenge that resulted in Coach and Chrissy getting voted out of the game.

Joe has a chance to tie Boston Rob’s individual immunity record

Joe will make the Final 6 in Survivor 50, and he has a chance to make it all the way to the end of the game. Assuming he stays in the game long enough, Joe has a chance to win two more challenges this season and tie the all-time individual immunity record.

Boston Rob holds the record for most individual immunity wins in Survivor history with nine wins. Ozzy Lusth, who was just blindsided in Survivor 50, is second with eight wins. Realistically, Joe can tie Ozzy or Boston Rob for No. 1 or No. 2 on the all-time immunity wins list. That’s wild.

It’s even more incredible when you think Joe hasn’t even played nearly as much as those two players. Joe isn’t even done with a full season yet. He could tie the record in two seasons! That’s so wild.

And, it’s even more incredible that basically no one is talking about how good Joe is in challenges. He’s not in the same conversation as Ozzy or Joe Anglim, but he’s winning at a much higher rate than they ever did in Survivor. It’s incredible.

We’ll have to see just how it plays out for Joe, but it looks like he’s going to have a chance to really win a few more challenges.

Honestly, there’s no doubt that Joe, even if he doesn’t do it this time, is going to break the all-time Survivor immunity record if he has a chance to play again. He’s just that good at these challenges.

Stay tuned for more news about Survivor 50! We’ll keep monitoring as Joe goes for history this season.
