Boost your testosterone with these 3 supplements.
There are a lot of products claiming to boost testosterone.
However, only a few supplements have been shown to benefit testosterone production.
The evidence mostly supports these three.
It is important to caveat this by saying…
– These supplements will likely only boost testosterone if you are already experiencing low testosterone and/or have a deficiency in one, or more, of these vitamins or minerals.
– Supplements can help. However, they can not replace a healthy lifestyle.
1. Vitamin D
Ideally, you would produce all your vitamin D naturally through sunlight exposure. However, this is not always possible. Vitamin D is attainable from only a few food sources, which is why vitamin D has become a popular supplement.
2. Zinc
People who are more active are more likely to have zinc deficiency as zinc is lost through sweat. Dietary zinc is mainly found in animal products. Some grains and nuts are also rich in zinc. Be mindful to not over-consume zinc as it can be harmful.
3. Magnesium
Magnesium, like zinc, is lost through sweat. There are numerous magnesium-rich foods making it relatively easy to hit your RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowance). If you still need to supplement, be mindful not to over-consume and avoid magnesium oxide.
