High school students from across Green Country competed in the third annual Oklahoma Law Enforcement Wellness Championship at the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office Thursday.
The event featured students enrolled in criminal justice technology programs who participated in six events, including pushups, sit-ups, pull-ups, a one-mile run, tug of war, and an obstacle course.
Students say the competition was not only about physical fitness, but also the importance of teamwork and building connections with peers from other schools.
About 200 students from Tulsa Tech, along with students from four other technology schools from across the area, took part in the competition, which also included demonstrations by SWAT, sniper, drone, and K-9 units.
