(WSET) — If you like turning up the heat on your workouts, there’s a new spot in Lynchburg designed to do just that.
HOTWORX Lynchburg has officially opened its doors on Forest Road, bringing the area’s first infrared sauna fitness studio to Central Virginia.
Inside, the studio features individual and small-group infrared saunas that can accommodate up to three people. Members can take virtual, instructor-led classes ranging from yoga and cycling to high-intensity interval training, all inside the heated environment.
The gym is also open 24/7, giving members the flexibility to fit workouts into any schedule.
Co-owners Jimmy Thompson and Miranda Dessalet said the opening is a dream come true.

“There’s nothing like this in Central Virginia,” they said.
Dessalet added that the response from the community has already been overwhelming.
“I cried happy tears. We have such great support from our members, and our members love it, and that’s exactly what we wanted.”
The business is family-owned, adding a personal touch to the new fitness option in the area.
For those interested in joining, HOTWORX Lynchburg is open for walk-ins Monday through Saturday.
