Circle Wellness is preparing to make its U.S. debut in Seattle this summer, according to a recent Instagram post from the company.
The Vancouver-based wellness company will open at 1326 N Northlake Way, near Gas Works Park, bringing its private, self-guided thermal spa concept to the city.
“Seattle’s culture of wellness, nature and innovation made it the perfect place for our next chapter,” co-founder and CEO Scott Emslie said in a press release shared with Whatnow Seattle. “We’re excited to introduce a completely new kind of spa experience here.”
Founded in Vancouver in 2020, Circle Wellness brings together ancient bathing rituals with modern automation through private thermal spa circuits designed for up to two guests. Each session includes an open-air shower, cedar soaking tub, multi-sensory sauna, cold plunge, and heated riverstones.
The concept draws inspiration from bathing traditions in Japan, Korea, and Northern Europe, while incorporating immersive sound, lighting, and sensory design elements. At the center of the spa circuit is the “WellPod,” a proprietary multi-sensory sauna designed to create a gentler and more immersive thermal experience.
Circle Wellness originally began as an outdoor showroom and prototype offered as an Airbnb wellness experience in Vancouver. Demand quickly grew, eventually leading to the launch of Circle Wellness’ flagship Granville Island location in 2023, which opened with a reported waitlist of 20,000 people.
In Seattle, sessions will last either 90 minutes or two hours, and each circuit will be fully reset between guests. Reservations are expected to open one month before the official debut.
