Nutriearth, an innovator in the production of natural and sustainable vitamin D3 from a bioresource, is taking the next step in its international development with the signing of a new distribution agreement with Caldic, a global distributor of specialty ingredients.
This partnership of distribution is now effective in Nordic countries and Germany, strengthening Nutriearth’s ability to serve local food manufacturers and expand access to its natural vitamin D3 ingredient, N-utra.
This collaboration is designed to make N-utra available to more manufacturers seeking to incorporate a natural, sustainable, and effective source of vitamin D3 into their everyday food products.
“With these new partnerships, we are accelerating the global availability of N-utra and strengthening our local presence in key European markets,” said Jeremy Burks, Chief Executive Officer of Nutriearth. “Caldic’s deep market expertise and strong relationships with customers make them an ideal partner to help us bring natural vitamin D3 innovation to consumers seeking natural, sustainable and effective nutrition”
A next-generation source of natural vitamin D3
N-utra is a functional powder made, naturally rich in Vitamin D and rich in essential nutrients such as proteins and minerals. Thanks to Nutriearth’s patented biomimetic method, which replicates the body’s own synthesis of vitamin D3, N-utra is also a natural, sustainable and highly bioavailable source of vitamin D3. Its proven bioavailability ensures effective absorption by the body, helping to support optimal health. Studies also show that Nutriearth’s vitamin D3 is absorbed up to 3.3 times better than lanolin-derived D3 and twice as well as lichen-based D3.
Manufacturers can easily incorporate N-utra into everyday consumer products (bread, buns, cakes, bars, fruit compotes, pasta, potato products,…) to provide consumers with natural and effective vitamin D3, which supports bone and dental health, muscle capital and immune function, thereby meeting essential nutritional needs.
Nutriearth has already collaborated with a biscuit manufacturer to create unique madeleines that combine indulgence and nutritional benefits. For example, one madeleine prepared with
N-utra provides 25% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin D3. The promise of a moment of indulgence is fulfilled, in taste and texture, offering an easy way to get an essential micronutrient.
An environmental life-cycle assessment by Sapiologie demonstrated 77 percent lower greenhouse-gas emissions and an eightfold reduction in total environmental impact compared with lanolin-derived D3.
N-utra provides a simple, natural and sustainable solution to develop products that are functional and appealing in everyday life foods.
Expanding presence across Northern Europe and Germany
The new distribution partnership with Caldic, a recognised leader in the distribution of food and nutrition ingredients, will enable Nutriearth to support local food manufacturers and strengthen its commercial presence in Northern Europe and Germany.
“We are very pleased to partner with Nutriearth, whose mission to act for health through new and sustainable nutrition resonates strongly with our own “Beyond solutions. Shaping tomorrow” food positioning said Alex Sánchez Munté, Food Marketing Manager, Caldic Europe B.V. “N-utra fits seamlessly into our key trends, offering an effective and natural source of vitamin D3 produced with no extraction and no chemicals.
Through this collaboration, we look forward to supporting our customers in creating everyday foods that are both healthier and more responsible. Together with Nutriearth, we aim to make natural nutrition accessible and enjoyable for consumers, while contributing to a more sustainable food system.”
A simple, sustainable way to innovate
N-utra offers a practical and sustainable route to differentiation. By incorporating up to 4 percent N-utra into a recipe, food producers can:
Reposition their offering in the health and nutrition segment
Make nutritional and health claims related to vitamin D3
Meet growing consumer demand for healthier, traceable and functional products
Increase added value
All production is carried out entirely in France, ensuring exceptional quality, traceability and a secure local supply of vitamin D3. For European customers, this reduces reliance on imports almost exclusively from China and India.
