Bhavitha

Model and CHANEL ambassador Bhavitha Mandava just attended her first MET Gala and of course she looked radiant.

Her beauty look, much like her outfit, was designed to enhance rather than transform the natural beauty of the university-grad-turned-supermodel. Glowing skin, a wash of shimmer, and tousled waves were key here.

Mandava worked with makeup artist Tyron Machhausen, who kept things light and effortless. “This look was really about celebrating natural radiance. It was a very honest approach to Bhavitha’s extraordinary beauty,” Machhausen explained.

The makeup was subtle with a focus on light and dimension. There was a feeling of undone ease and joy – a theme that’s defined Mandava’s explosive modelling career thus far (her opening walk in the NYC Subway at the CHANEL Métiers d’art show was a real moment in time).

So what goes into such a beautifully simple makeup look? Turns out, many well thought out steps. Machhausen worked with CHANEL Beauty, using Sublimage skincare and the Le Lift Flash Eye Patches. He also prepped Mandava’s lips with a dry toothbrush followed by the Sublimage L’Extrait Huile Lèvres serum.

The makeup look involved fresh skin (a combination of the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation and the Les Beiges Serum Concealer, plus the Healthy Glow Sheer Powder) and a subtly defined eye. Machhausen used the Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Espresso, plus the Les Beiges Volume and Definition Mascara (launching later this year). A subtly glossy effect was added using some artfully placed Baume Essentiel in Transparent.

Mandava’s lips were painted with Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Ultrawear Liquid Lip Colour in Caramel Beige. Perfection.
